Chief Warrant Officer 2 (Ret.) Michael G. Cahill, who was a voracious reader, is remembered with a coffee cup and stack of books including one "Calvin and Hobbes" collection, in a sculpture created by artist Troy Kelley, July 22, 2014. The sculpture was featured at the groundbreaking of the Nov. 5, 2009 Fort Hood Shooting Memorial at the Killeen Civic Center, July 22, 2014. Cahill was killed while trying to subdue the shooter, who ultimately took 13 lives that day, and was posthumously presented the Army Award for Valor for his actions. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
