Senior Sgt. Mark Todd, of the Killeen Police Department, touches a sculpture July 22, 2014, honoring U.S. Army Spc. Frederick Z. Greene, of the 20th Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, who was killed in the Nov. 5, 2009, Fort Hood shooting. Todd fired the shots that finally brought down the gunman, Nidal Hasan, after a rampage that left 13 dead and 31 wounded. Salado artist Troy Kelley designed sculptures for each of the 13 victims using objects that were dear to them. He designed the sculptures to be touched, so that eventually the favorite places on each piece will become shiny. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Ken Scar, 7th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment)
