    22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit

    Col. Gareth F. Brandl, front, commanding officer of the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, gives a motivational talk to approximately 1,600 Marines from the MEU, after a combat boots and utilities formation run aboard Fort Pickett, Va., Jan. 18. The MEU formation run was held to build unit cohesion, and pause from training to discuss leadership. The 22nd MEU is conducting Realistic Urban Training at Fort Pickett in preparation for their upcoming deployment in the spring.
