2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division

Lt. Col. Dafor, the Joint Security Station commander for 3rd Brigade, 1st National Police Division, is promoted to colonel Jan. 20 at Combat Outpost Cashe South. Pinning his new rank on are Lt. Col Gottshalk, of Moncure, N.C., the 3rd Bde., 1st Div., NP Transition Team commander, and Brig. Gen. Emad, the commander of 3rd Brigade, 1st National Police Division. Gottshalk serves with Task Force 1st Battalion, 35th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Multi-National Division-Baghdad.
