Lieutenant Col. George Hasseltine, the commanding officer of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South, and a native of Metairie, La., explains the Internally Transportable Vehicle to diplomats, military leaders and distinguished guests from Trinidad and Tobago during a tour aboard the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), July 25, 2014. The ITV was one of several static displays showcasing the humanitarian and disaster relief capabilities that Marines and Sailors bring to the ship and our partner-nations in the region. Ships like America are what provide the Navy-Marine Corps team the ability to be the right force, in the right place at the right time. The ship is scheduled to be commission Oct. 11 in San Francisco. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Christopher J. Moore/Released)
