Petty Officer 3rd Class Samuel McBath, top, and Seaman Trent Ross, right, apply a splint to Seaman Aidan Rispens using materials found in the jungle July 11 during the Jungle Medicine Combat Course at the Jungle Warfare Training Center on Camp Gonsalves. They searched for materials in the jungle to improvise a splint as part of a practical application of the jungle survival skills they learned during the course. Rispens is a Puyallup, Washington, native, Ross is a Lakeville, Minnesota, native, and McBath is an Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, native.
