Seaman Benjamin Rodriguez, front, leads the way while carrying a simulated casualty through jungle terrain July 20 during the Combat Endurance Course, the final test of the Jungle Medicine Combat Course at the Jungle Warfare Training Center on Camp Gonsalves. The corpsmen had to navigate the casualty through one mile of hills and waist-high mud as a final test of teamwork. Rodriguez is an El Paso, Texas, native and corpsman with 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division , currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
