Amphibious Construction Battalion (ACB) 1 tow tugs lay conduit from the SS Chesapeake (T-AOT 5084) into the Arabian Sea. Naval Beach Group (NBG) 1 and ACB-1, both homeported in Coronado, Calif., and Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 1, homeported in Little Creek, Va., installed the legacy Offshore Petroleum Discharge System (OPDS) in Oman to replace the existing multi-point mooring system that has been condemned beyond repair.
