Cpl. Maurice Storck, one of the oldest members of the Maine Guard visited the Augusta Armory with his son, Wednesday, July 30. During his visit, he talked with soldiers about the experiences he had during his time with the 103rd Infantry Division, Maine Army National Guard. Storck survived the attacks on Pearl Harbor, as well as the major battles at Guadalcanal, the Northern Solomon’s and the Philippines. The soldiers he met with were able to hear the many adventures of the living legend. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. Angela Parady.)
