Emergency workers with the Okinawa Prefectural Government organize and dispatch disaster response crews July 23 at the Camp Naha gymnasium on Camp Naha, Okinawa, during a mock disaster exercise. The exercise, which centered on a simulated earthquake in central Naha, served to maximize efficiency in the event of a disaster, according to JGSDF Maj. Takehiro Oishi, a liaison with the Liaison Office, 15th Brigade. The event involved members of the JGSDF 15th Brigade, as well as U.S. service members and federal employees stationed on Okinawa.
