Sailors open holiday care packages on the mess decks aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50). The packages were sent by Our Lady of Hope Elementary School, in Queens, N.Y. Carter Hall is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility with the Iwo Jima Expeditionary Strike Group to conduct maritime security operations.
