Gen. James F. Amos addresses the Marines of 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment (Reinforced) and Combat Logistics Battalion 3, the ground and logistics combat elements of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Afghanistan, during a visit to Camp Barber, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Feb. 5. Amos, the assistant commandant of the Marine Corps, made the visit to get a better understanding of how the Marines are living and operating. U.S. Marines are in Afghanistan to reinforce success and sustain the momentum of the ongoing progress by alliance forces.
