U.S. servicemembers greet children from the Mokren Village Slantse Kindergarten School during a fieldtrip to the Novo Selo Training Area, Bulgaria Aug. 7. U.S. Marines and soldiers participating in exercise Platinum Lion 14-2 provided the students with a tour of military vehicles and equipment. U.S. Navy personnel with Naval Mobile Constrution Battalion 40 renovated the Slantse Kindergarten School in 2007 during exercise Lion Strike. Exercise Platinum Lion is an annually-scheduled training engagement that promotes and strengthens interoperability between regional partners, allies and U.S. forces through multilateral familiarization and training.
