Audubon’s Trinity Bird Count has been visiting the Lower Chain of Wetlands every three months since 2011 as part of its monitoring the Upper Trinity River basin in North Texas. During the three-hour walk through the wetlands July 26, they identified 45 species, including an unusual sighting of two Baltimore orioles. To date, the Trinity Bird Count has recorded 129 species at this southeast Dallas location. (Photo credit: Srividya Sundar)
