U.S. Ambassador to Chile Michael Hammer, addresses Marines, Sailors and distinguished visitors during a reception in the hangar bay of the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) in Valparaíso, Chile, Aug. 25, 2014. The reception was hosted by the Marines and Sailors of America and U.S. Ambassador to Chile Michael Hammer for Chilean government officials and local leaders. Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South is currently embarked aboard America in support of her maiden transit, "America Visits the Americas."
