Spc. Dalton Trimble jokes with his platoon members via video teleconference at Forward Operating Fenty after his Purple Heart Medal ceremony with Combined Joint Task Force-10 and Regional Command-East Commander U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Stephen Townsend and Command Sgt. Maj. Ray Lewis Aug. 29, 2014, at the Regional Command-East Headquarters at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. Trimble received the medal for sustaining injuries during a vehicle borne bomb to his convoy on Aug. 24, 2014. He also received a Combat Infantryman Badge for his actions during a firefight with enemy combatants in May 2014.
