Spc. Savannah N. Glover, 648th Brigade Support Bn. supply technician, left, takes a walk through the pits with international racecar driver Danica Patrick on Saturday. For Glover the opportunity was a dream come true, “I wanted to be a professional driver but the military got me first.” She and a group of Georgia National Guard Citizen-Soldiers were given the VIP treatment during the 2014 NASCAR Troops to the Tracks military salute in partnership with the Armed Forces Foundation and 2014 presenting sponsor Bank of America. The event to honor our troops began in 2010 and has expanded the event to cover 27 races this year. (Georgia National Guard photo by Army Staff Sgt. Tracy J. Smith | released)
