Master Sgt. David Emrich, the non-commissioned officer in charge for aircrew flight equipment with the 379th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron, performs a functional test on a PRC-112 Survival Radio, Feb. 10, 2009, in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The test unit ensures different features on the radio are functioning optimally. The radio's features include a global positioning system which will pinpoint the position of downed aircrew. Sergeant Emrich is native to Roy, Utah, and deployed from Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
