Edwards, a geospatial intelligence analyst for 2nd Intelligence Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force, and a native of Granville, N.Y., demonstrates the use of the Topcon GR-3 Global Navigation Satellite System to a British military intelligence operative with 7 Military Intelligence Battalion, 1 Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Brigade, during Exercise Phoenix Odyssey on Sept. 13, 2014. The day’s events were dedicated to sharing techniques in ground survey. The two forces are co-located in a Military Operations in Urban Terrain training facility on Camp Lejeune for the nearly week long, scenario drive, bilateral exercise.
