Captain Joseph W. Fischer, the executive officer of Company G, 2nd Intelligence Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force, discusses targeting for high value individuals with his counterpart from the British Army’s 1 Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Brigade, inside the Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC) during Exercise Phoenix Odyssey on Sept. 13, 2014. The two forces are co-located in a Military Operations in Urban Terrain training facility on Camp Lejeune for the nearly week long, scenario drive, bilateral exercise. They will live and work out of the same concrete structures, while being engaged by active role players in the area and responding to scenarios provided by the staff of 2nd Intel Bn.
