Fiscal Year 2015 chief petty officers assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17, and Commander, Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 1 stand in ranks singing “Anchors Aweigh” before they are pinned in the hangar bay aboard Carl Vinson. Carl Vinson and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing 17, are on deployment in the 7th Fleet area of operations supporting Valiant Shield.
