Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps Micheal P. Barrett is accompanied by Sgt. Maj. Robin C. Fortner, sergeant major, Ground Combat Element Integrated Task Force, during a visit to the GCEITF headquarters, Sept. 23, 2014. Barrett invited noncommissioned officers in the unit to have an open discussion of their thoughts on the task force, and to provide insight on their roles in the mission. From October 2014 to July 2015, the GCEITF will conduct individual and collective level skills training in designated ground combat arms occupational specialties in order to facilitate the standards based assessment of the physical performance of Marines in a simulated operating environment performing specific ground combat arms tasks.
