A test item is subjected to a global positioning system, or GPS test at the U.S. Army Electronic Proving Ground during late summer of 2014. USAEPG is one of the few military test ranges this is authorized to test GPS in an open-air setting, using a variety of settings and modeled environments to ensure that tested civilian and military hardware works well throughout the world, regardless of the setting.(PHOTO BY U.S. Army Courtesy)
