Sailors from deck department aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) prepare to receive spanning wire from Fleet replacement oiler USNS Guadalupe (T-AO 200) for a replenishment at sea (RAS). An RAS is conducted to resupply the ship with essentials from food to parts and even mail while underway. Ronald Reagan and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 14 are underway performing a sustainment exercise in the Pacific Ocean.
