Capt. John G. Bruening is interviewed during flight qualifications by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Coleman Thompson onboard the USS NASSAU. The captain expressed his views of the importance of treadiness training. The ship departed to complete a three week Composite Unit Training Exercise (COMTUEX). COMTUEX is designed to provide realistic training enviornments for the U.S. naval forces that closely replicate the operational challenges routinely encountered during military operations around the world.
