Adm. J. C. Harvey, commander, United States Fleet Forces command, stands with Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley at a luncheon for the annual Principal for a Day Oct. 28. Harvey was invited to Hyman G. Rickover Naval Academy Oct. 28 to participate in the event. Rickover, a Naval high school academy with more than 400 Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) cadets, is part of the Chicago Public Schools (CPS). The Principal for a Day program was established by the Mayor's Office in 1998 to allow businesses and organizations an opportunity to visit a school and shadow the principal to increase their awareness of the accomplishments and challenges in CPS.
