Spc. Mario D. Yardbough from Memphis, Tenn., gets timed by an evaluator as he performs first on another Soldier with a simulated bleeding extremity during the litter carry event of Sustainer Challenge at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, March 18. Yardbough, a small arms repair a specialist with the 699th Maintenance Company out of Fort Irwin, Calif., competed with his team in the litter carry which is designed to test Soldier's endurance and knowledge of basic first aid.
