Petty Officer 3rd Class Ashley Lauterwasser, 21 from St. Louis cleans brass shavings from a lathe after making brass pegs aboard the Nimitz class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan CVN 76. The pegs she made will be used for ship replica plaques given to head of departments when they leave the ship. Ronald Reagan and Carrier Air Wing 14 are underway performing sustainment exercises in the Pacific Ocean.
