Col. T. Shane Tomko, commanding officer, Wounded Warrior Regiment, politely refuses to wear the Navy's mascot pirate hat after the All-Marine sitting volleyball team loses a heated game against the Navy at the 2014 Warrior Games on Oct. 2, 2014, at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Marine team is comprised of both active duty and veteran wounded, ill and injured Marines who are attached to or supported by the Wounded Warrior Regiment, the official unit of the Marine Corps charged with providing comprehensive non-medical recovery care to wounded, ill and injured Marines. The Warrior Games are a Paralympic-style competition for more than 200 wounded, ill and injured service members and are taking place Sept. 28 to Oct. 4 at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
