    379th Air Expeditionary Wing

    Senior Airman James Ashburn, an Aircraft Ground Equipment mechanic with the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron, applies lubricant to a B-1B Lancer bomb lift during its annual inspection, in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The annual inspection uses preventative maintenance and observation of functions to ensure continued operation with minimal unscheduled down-time. Ashburn is a native of Glennville, Ga., and is deployed from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
