Spc. Cody Renner, of the 957 Multi-role Bridge Company, accompanies Fargo police officer Christopher Potter on dike watch patrol, March 27, along drainage 27 on the south side of Fargo, N.D. The pair of flood fighter are standing on top of a hardened portion of the dike as part of their duties, but do not walk on top of the dikes and discourage others from getting on top of the dikes. Potter is a former member of the North Dakota Army National Guard 142nd Engineer Combat Battalion and has been a police officer for 16 years. He is working the dike patrol in Fargo despite his own evacuation with his family from their home in Moorhead, Minn., March 26.
