Louisiana Army National Guardsman Sgt. 1st Class Christopher D. Phillips of Colfax, La., gets his new rank during a recent pinning ceremony at the 225th Engineer Brigade headquarters in Pineville, La. Phillips, who currently serves as the 831st Survey and Design Team's readiness non-commissioned officer, is a 13-year-veteran of the LANG. He was pinned by Command Sgt. Maj. James H. Mays, state command sergeant major of the Army.
