A New York Naval Militia patrol boat crew assigned to the Military Emergency Boat Service operates on the Hudson River near the Indian Point nuclear power plant on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17 and 18 to train crews, work on communications techniques, and test mobilization procedures. Twenty five sailors took part in the training. The New York Naval Militia is a state force comprised of Navy and Marine Corps Reserve members who also volunteer for state active duty along with a small number of retired military member.
