U.S. Sailors assigned to Expeditionary Resuscitative Surgical System Team 12 train Sailors and Marines during a mass casualty drill aboard the amphibious transport ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) at an undisclosed location in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility June 2, 2014. The Mesa Verde was part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, was deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
