The addition of a bullet proof glass cupola is a common site on military vehicles in Iraq. Stryker vehicles, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles and transport trucks, such as this one on Camp Taji, often sport some type of low cost add-on fabricated by the Soldiers using the vehicle. Such add-ons give Soldiers added ability to scan their surroundings while protected.
