Soldiers from Company A, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, wait in their staging area for the start of the Latvia Day Parade in Riga, Latvia, Nov. 18, 2014. Norwegian and U.S. forces marched in the parade as a show of solidarity for their Latvian brothers-in-arms. These activities are part of the U.S. Army Europe-led Operation Atlantic Resolve land force assurance training exercise taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to enhance multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO.
