A New Zealand Defence Force soldier, 1st New Zealand Brigade, takes the prone position and provides security next to a light armored vehicle during Exercise Kiwi Koru Nov. 14, 2014, outside of Whangamomona, New Zealand. Exercise Kiwi Koru training elements included combat lifesaver training, Law of Armed Conflict scenarios, counter improvised explosive device training and a force-on-force tactical exercise. Approximately 60 Soldiers from the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks and 40 Marines from I Marine Expeditionary Force trained alongside approximately 600 New Zealand Defence Force soldiers from the 1st New Zealand Brigade.
