Brig. General Joaquin F. Malavet, commanding general of 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade, greets Lt. Col. M.P. Fan, member of the 7th Singapore Infantry Brigade, after an opening ceremony for Exercise Valiant Mark 14.2 aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., Dec 4. Exercise Valiant Mark 14.2 enhances U.S. and Singapore forces combined combat readiness through live-fire and urban terrain training as well as amphibious operations familiarization. The exercise is scheduled to take place Dec. 4 to 19.
