Members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force’s Special Weapons Protection Unit demonstrate reconnaissance, casualty packaging and extraction drills within a simulated contaminated zone Dec. 1 at Camp Naha. The JGSDF reconnaissance members discovered the mock injured personnel and began to determine the chemical agent, and range of contamination. The team then showed U.S. Marines with a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense background their decontamination process. The JGSDF members are with JGSDF Nuclear Biological Chemical Unit, 15th Brigade. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Tyler S. Giguere/Released)
