Spc. Jamael O. Turner, of Nashville, Tenn., shows one of the first rockets his unit shot down with the counter rocket artillery and mortar at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, March 4. Turner, who is with Alpha Battery, 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, out of Fort Campbell, Ky., operates the CRAM which can identify, track, and shoot the motors and rockets out of the sky before they detonate.
