Duchene, of Lansing, Mich., operators and maintainers of the Sentinel Radar System, are photographed with the system at Joint base Balad, Iraq, March 5. Vaughn and Duchence, Soldiers with Alpha Battery, 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, out of Fort Campbell, Ky., have been in theater since April 2008, and operate the system which is use for airspace management to prevent fratricide of friendly aircraft.
