Soldiers of the 3rd Engineer Battalion, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, fire a Mine Clearing Line Charge to clear a path in a minefield during a Combined Arms Breach exercise Dec. 5 at Fort Hood, Texas. The line charge contains about 1,700 pounds of C-4 explosives and has the ability to clear an eight meter wide by 100 meter long, path for units to maneuver through. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
