Col. Ray Compton, commander, U.S. Army Electronic Proving Ground, briefs Sens. John McCain (left) and Jeff Flake (center) with Rep.-elect Martha McSally (right), while Maj. Gen. Robert Ashley, commander, U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence looks on at the Fort Huachuca’s Libby Army Air Field Dec. 18. Compton explained that the Army is able to test sophisticated intelligence systems at Fort Huachuca because of the unique synergy of the units based there, which allows earlier Soldier involvement in test and creates training opportunities for those involved. The Army Electronic Proving Ground is the designated developmental tester for Army command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems.
