Col. Ray Compton, commander, U.S. Army Electronic Proving Ground, wishes Sen. John McCain farewell and safe-travels, on Fort Huachuca’s Libby Army Air Field after a Dec. 18 Congressional visit that included: Sen. Jeff Flake, Rep. Paul Gosar and Representative-elect Martha McSally. Earlier, Compton explained that the Army is able to test sophisticated intelligence systems at Fort Huachuca because of the unique synergy of the units based there, which allows earlier Soldier involvement in test and creates training opportunities for those involved. The Army Electronic Proving Ground is the designated developmental tester for Army command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems.
