U.S. Marine Cpl. Craig Lewis, a communications chief with the 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, uses two stacked devices, (on the top) the joint terminal attack controller laser targeting device and (on the bottom) the PAS-25, a thermal optic to see at night, Jan. 13 at Idesuna-Jima range W-174, Okinawa, Japan. Marines effectively combine the devices' capabilities to mark targets at night with a laser so pilots know where to attack. Lewis is from Gilbert, Ariz., and is with the 5th ANGLICO detachment assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Abbey Perria/Released)
