Avery, the Officer of the Guard, and Trujillo, the Sergeant of the Guard, successfully trained more than 30 Soldiers assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 3rd Battalion, 157th Field Artillery, Colorado Army National Guard. "As a leader, ensuring Soldiers are trained in a proper 'battle-hand-off' of information is crucial to the integrity of an ECP," said Avery. The battalion is scheduled to deploy with the 115th Fires Brigade in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
