As part of post delivery test and trials, the vehicle transfer ramp of the Navy’s first mobile landing platform, USNS Montford Point (MLP 1), is raised and fitted to the ramp of vehicle cargo ship USNS Bob Hope (T-AKR-300), the lead ship of its class, to allow for the transfer of vehicles between the two ships.
