Following its offload from the Landing Craft Air Cushion, an M88 Armored Recovery Vehicle transits on the raised vehicle deck and up the vehicle transfer ramp to be transferred from USNS Montford Point (MLP 1), the Navy’s first mobile landing platform, onto vehicle cargo ship USNS Bob Hope (T-AKR-300), the lead ship of its class. An Internally Transportable Vehicle-Prime Mover, an M970 Refueling system, and a Logistic Vehicle System Replacement Wrecker prepare to transit following the Armored Recovery Vehicles as part of Montford Point’s post delivery test and trials.
