Staff Sgt. Kenneth Hayden, center, a native of Immokalee, Fla., and the platoon sergeant for 2nd Platoon, Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, checks on his Marines as they hike to a training site aboard the Nova Selo Training Area in Sliven, Bulgaria, May 29. Kilo Co. Marines are in Bulgaria to conduct training aboard the joint Bulgarian-American training base. This is the first time U.S. Marines have conducted this kind of training in Bulgaria. The 22nd MEU is currently serving as the theater reserve force for U.S. European Command.
