Jaykwon Thompson, son of fallen Staff Sgt. Anthony Thompson, thanks everyone for honoring the memory of his dad during a memorialization ceremony at the Staff Sgt. Anthony Thompson Army Reserve Center in Orangeburg, S.C., Feb. 21. Jaykwon, only 4 when his dad died in combat, said seeing everyone present proved what he knew in his heart, that his dad was a great man and he's proud to be Anthony's son. "Naming the center in a public event, like the one we are hosting, is to honor both the service of Staff Sgt. Thompson and the support from this community and Army families," said Maj. Gen. Janet Cobb, commander, 81st Regional Support Command.
